Slazenger was founded in 1881 by a pair of brothers, Ralph and Albert Slazenger. In 1881 Ralph Slazenger left his native Manchester, and opened a shop on London's Cannon Street selling rubber sporting goods. Slazenger quickly became a leading manufacturer of sporting equipment for golf and tennis.
From the late 1800’s onwards, Slazenger products have been the choice of many superstars in various sports around the world.
In 1902, Slazenger was appointed the official tennis ball supplier to The Championships at Wimbledon, and it remains the longest unbroken sporting sponsorships in history
Through the years, Slazenger has played an important role in many sport icons careers. Great champions wearing the brand are among others; Seve Ballesteros, Björn Borg, Jimmy Connors and Fred Perry. They have made an invaluable contribution to Slazengers rich heritage and are still leading the way for the brand when it comes to design inspiration and brand values
The first Slazenger padel racket collection is named after one of the most iconic tennis rackets ever made, Slazenger Challenge No.1. At one time the racket used by most Grand Slam winners ever.
Actually, Slazenger was one of the first brands to produce padel rackets. We have been around since padel was played with wooden rackets and in different forms. However, for many years and particularly during the last years of rapid growth of the sport, players have been wishing for the greatest brand to enter the world of padel.
